There are many myths and misconceptions about copier dealers and manufacturers. In this article, you will be getting information about three of these myths. Here are some of the myths about different copy machine brands that are circulated the copier industry

First Myth:
You can buy a copier at a better price by getting it from the manufacturer.
This myth may look real and agreed upon, but in its actual case, it’s false, with no point in getting a copier machine at a good price from the manufacturer’s workshop. The reality is that the copier machine brands and manufacturers sell the product at the exact wholesale price to the local shops and branches as they sell them to their dealers. Hence, the copier machine costs the same price to the dealers as it’s delivered to the branch.
Usually, if the difference of cost occurs, that’s because of the independence of the shopkeeper to sell it according to his price tag. That makes it independent of the copier brand’s manufacturer’s original cost to sell the product from the factory.
Second Myth:
Copiers Manufacturer brands have better copier machine service than the dealers as they know their defaults.
Another biggest myth about the copier machine brands is that manufacturers give better services than the dealers or workshop sellers. But, the actual truth behind this mystery is that you usually don’t know this, but the dealers and manufacturers send their technicians for the training process for copier machines to the same spot. Therefore, this myth is completely denied as both the technicians are justly qualified from the same institution for training that works on providing services to the copier machines.
Additionally, these copier machine brand manufacturers are not the small organization. Instead, they may have to get approval from the higher department that provides services to a single piece of the copier machine. Thus, this is a time-consuming process that can take days and weeks for an application to be approved for services.
On the other side, the services provider for copier machines of the local shops would not be difficult if the approval of its president is needed. This is less time-consuming than going to the manufacturer’s office.
Parts Budgets
The manufacturer’s services technicians are not allowed to exceed the limit of their budgets. This is because they are given a specific amount of money that they can spend to repair the equipment of the machines that are not working.
Third Myth:
The dealer cannot provide service to all of my copier machines throughout the country.
Manufacturers and copier brands do have the capability to provide services at multiple locations all over the country. But the thing that we don’t realize is that the whole process is identical to the local dealers too. For example, if you have a branch in New York, and it requires copier machine services, then the branch in another state will have the setup service that will be supplied by the company. Therefore, local dealers also use these kinds of processes to provide copier servicing.
Local dealers form a community, where they learn and hold their selves accountable, even though they don’t work for one another. But they do have each other’s contact saved to contact directly with one another if needed necessary.
So, both manufacturers and dealers have different objectives. For the manufacturers, their main goal and focus are to sell the copier brands at wholesale prices. They barely focus on the service as most of the service part is covered by the dealers. Where for the goal of the dealer differs from them as they tend to sell the copier by providing additional services and maintenance for the copiers. Manufacturers usually cover their objective to sell the equipment at a price through the dealers, so it’s always a win-win situation for them with no loss. Moreover, for the dealers, their servicing facility makes them more superior because who would visit the shop again if the shop cannot be held accountable for the faulty product.
Most of the time, the local shops get more appreciation from the community because their customer services are considered higher than that of the manufacturer. Even if you are a large company, your local dealer will always have a way of helping you out, even if the copier is not in the same place. The purpose of discussing these myths is to help you in avoiding these misconceptions and choose a suitable copy machine brand without believing these myths.
